The Ministry of Electronics and Info Expertise (Meity) is able to allocate over Rs 35,000 crore to the proposed production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for digital parts, in a bid to remodel India into a worldwide hub for sub-assemblies, a senior official disclosed.
Sub-assemblies, comprising varied parts and elements, are integral to creating full merchandise. Below this upcoming scheme, the recognized sub-assemblies embrace digital camera modules (that includes parts resembling connectors, sensors, lenses, golden wires, and glue), show assemblies, mechanical elements (resins, mesh, adhesive, movie, and gasket), battery packs, battery chargers, and vibrators.
