The blockchain-based firm Ripple Labs introduced a donation of $100,000 price of XRP XRP/USD tokens on Tuesday to help the wildfire reduction efforts in California.
What occurred: The San Francisco-headquartered fintech agency stated on X that the contributions shall be facilitated by philanthropic organizations like The Giving Block, World Central Group, and GiveDirectly.
Donations made by The Giving Block shall be matched 1:1 by Jared Isaacman, founder and CEO of the non-profit’s mother or father firm, Shift4.
Matching donations doubles the quantity supplied by a person or group. On this case, the contributions shall be matched 1:1 till the $1 million mark has been met.
Whereas donations shall be accepted even after the $ 1 million mark, they will not be eligible for the match.
